Just off of Route 442, along the Tanoharu River. The guestrooms are simple and refined with soft lighting, overlooking the lush landscape and river. Kaiseki (traditional multi-course dinner) cuisine or dishes grilled at a sunken hearth is served, crafted from local ingredients of the season. The large communal bath is supplied with onsen (hot spring) renowned for smoothing the skin. An indoor bath gives off a nostalgic atmosphere of the Taisho period (1912-1926) and an open-air bath offers fresh air. There is also a ganban-yoku (hot tiled plates), for an extra refreshing experience. Connected by bus from JR Aso Station.
