Located on high ground near the shore of Lake Biwa, within easy reach of Hiyoshi-taisha Shrine, Ukimido Temple by car. The ryokan (traditional Japanese-style inn) welcomes guests with a nostalgic atmosphere of the Taisho period (1912-1926), decorated with seasonal flowers. Simple guestrooms overlook a panoramic view of the lake, the port of Otsu and Biwa-ohashi Bridge in a quiet ambience. Rooms equipped with an open-air bath are also offered. Guests can enjoy dishes crafted from local rice, Omi-beef and fish from the lake. The spacious large communal bath with an open-air bath is supplied with onsen (hot spring) water. 5 mins. from JR Ogoto-Onsen Station, or 15 mins. from JR Hieizan-Sakamoto Station by car.
