Just in front of gassho-zukuri (a wooden house with a steep rafter roof), which is moved from Shirakawago. Guestrooms decorated in warm colors give off a soothing atmosphere. Rooms overlooking the Northern Japanese Alps are also offered. The ryokan (traditional Japanese-style inn) serves traditional cuisine of the mountain village fused with modern tastes. Guests can enjoy dishes crafted from high-class Hida-beef and seasonal delicacies, cooked and seasoned as they please. The ryokan features 8 private open-air baths of different styles, including 2 baths equipped with ganban-yoku (heated stone plate sauna), allowing guests to enjoy onsen (hot spring) to their hearts' content (at extra charge). 55 mins. by bus from JR Takayama Station.
