Only 10 mins. on foot from the former villa of Ito Hirobumi, the first prime minister of Japan, and Shokason-juku where he studied. Guestrooms give off a warm and graceful atmosphere. The top floor is occupied by modern Japanese rooms floored with tatami (straw-woven soft mat), overlooking the Sea of Japan. Guests can enjoy dishes crafted from local ingredients. Local cuisine, such as fried fish dumplings, can be enjoyed in buffet style meals for breakfast. The large communal bath supplied with abundant onsen (hot spring) water offers open-air baths modeled after the traditional castle town with mud and stone walls, allowing guests to relax in an exquisite atmosphere. 5 mins. by car from Higashi-hagi Station on the JR San-in Main Line.
