[Information]  Cities in Catalunya introduce a tax on hotel accommodations effective from the 01st November 2012. The costs are, 2.50€ in 5 star hotels, 1.00€ for 4 star hotels, 0.50€ for 3 -1 star hotels, per person per night and applicable every night of the stay. This tax is payable directly to the hotel by the guest and is payable up to maximum of 7 nights. Catalunya residents and children under the age of 16 are exempt. (25JUL2012)
